About Studio Yoga
A slower kind of studio
Studio Yoga began in 2014 as one quiet room above a bakery in Brooklyn. A decade later, the idea is the same: breathe first, move with care, and leave a little lighter than you came.

Our story
Built for the hour you give yourself
Mira opened Studio Yoga after years of teaching in busy, mirrored studios where classes felt like a race. She wanted somewhere warmer: soft light, natural materials, small classes and teachers with time to notice you.
Today we’re a team of three teachers, two practice rooms and a community of more than two thousand members — and we still cap every class at eighteen mats.

Our philosophy
What we practise, on and off the mat
01
Breath first
Every class begins and ends with the breath. It’s the thread that turns movement into practice.
02
Slow is strong
We hold, we notice, we refine. Strength built slowly is strength that lasts.
03
Rest is practice
Recovery isn’t a day off. Yin, restorative and sound classes are where change settles in.
04
Everyone belongs
No mirrors, no performance, no perfect pose. Come as you are — that’s the whole point.
